The ABRSM Syllabus Interim Report, July 2020
Read the latest research on the ABRSM curriculum which Chineke! commissioned from Dr Austin Griffiths, a senior teaching fellow at University College London (UCL). The ABRSM invigilates more than 650,000 exams and assessments each year, across the globe, in 93 countries. The exam board influences the musical tastes and experiences of millions of people of all ages. Yet music written by white composers makes up 98.8% of the 3,166 pieces on the latest exam syllabuses which cover 15 different instruments.
